Fire Prevention
The Fire Prevention and Life Safety Division focuses on educating the community about the benefits of proper fire safety practices and identifying and mitigating all types of hazardous conditions, which post a threat to life, property and the environment.
The Division is under the command of the Fire Marshal. In addition to the Fire Marshal, there is one Fire Inspector and one Office Assistant II. The Division works closely with the Town’s Planning, Zoning, and Building Department to ensure safety through construction plan review and code compliance.

Forms
Special Assignment Overtime:
At the request of private persons or organizations, or when required by Town Code, the Town of Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department provides fire and emergency medical services for events or large gatherings. Such services are paid for by the private party and must be in the best interest of the Town. Requests must be submitted on a Special Assignment Overtime Contract. Acceptance of the request for Special Assignment Overtime (SAO) will be at the discretion of the Fire Marshal.
Fire Watch
Where a required fire alarm system is out of service for more than 4 hours in a 24-hour period, the authority having jurisdiction shall be notified, and the building shall be evacuated or an approved fire watch shall be provided for all parties left unprotected by the shutdown until the fire alarm system has been returned to service.
