Beginning Wednesday, August 1, 2018, work will begin in Seaview Park for the construction of the new Mandel Recreation Center. Starting on August 1st, the only publicly accessible amenity within the park will be the tennis courts. The tennis courts are expected to have minimal disruption, but may experience an occasional court shutdown. The current recreation center, playground, front lawn, basketball court and athletic field will be closed to public use for the duration of the project, with anticipated completion in the fall of 2019.
Parking in the Royal Palm Way municipal parking lot will be very limited during the project duration, use of available on-street parking, adjacent to the tennis courts is recommended. The Town’s construction manager for this project is Hedrick Brothers Construction.
