The Palm Beach Police Department Community Shredding Event will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the South Parking Lot of Phipps Ocean Park. Identity Theft is the fastest growing crime in the world today and that makes properly disposing of confidential documents even more important than ever. This event is being co-sponsored by Palm Beach Crime Watch, Inc. and ShredAssured, a locally owned Confidential Paper Shredding and Data Destruction Company serving South Florida.
ShredAssured will supply a mobile shredding van capable of destroying your documents safely and securely. Materials to be shredded include old tax records and returns, bank statements and checks, employment records, and any documents containing confidential personal information. Individuals and those with small or home businesses are welcome to take part. This event is not designed to accommodate large businesses. Staples and paper clips do not have to be removed. You don’t even have to get out of your car! Volunteers will be on site to assist with removing bags or boxes of documents from your vehicles.
