Detectives with the Palm Beach Police Department are reaching out to the community for assistance in solving a homicide that occurred thirty years ago.
On Monday, February 6, 1989, at 3:27 a.m. Lena Teinila’s body was found on South Ocean Blvd. in the Town of Palm Beach. Teinila was last seen walking north on North Dixie Highway at the West Palm Beach/Lake Worth border at 1:00 AM. On the night of her death, Teinila had spent time in the Little Owl Bar and Ryan’s Bar and Grill, both on Dixie Highway in Lake Worth. Teinila was known to hitchhike along Dixie Highway and would also frequent John Prince Park in Lake Worth. The below picture is of Lena Teinila is of how she looked in 1989 prior to her death.
