Two new exciting programs will begin in February – Gaga Ball and Nerf Wars! These two activities have been a staple in Camp Palm Beach for years, but now the fun is offered as special activities outside of camp.
Gaga Ball is a fun, fast paced, high-energy game - played in an octagonal pit - and has been dubbed a “kinder, gentler version of dodge ball”. Gaga Ball combines the skills of dodging, striking, running and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees. Gaga Ball is co-ed, for 8-13 year olds and will begin Monday, February 5, from 3:30-5:30pm. A six-week session is $50/resident and $58/nonresident; early registration is preferred, but drop-ins are welcome at $10/resident and $13/nonresident. Teams will be formed each week!
What is better than Nerf Wars? Nerf Wars and Pizza! Come join us Friday nights in the Recreation Center Auditorium to battle against your friends in a classic game of Capture the Flag. After the match, enjoy pizza and drinks while reflecting back on the game with your friends. Nerf Wars is co-ed, for 8-14 year olds and will begin Friday, February 9. The game is from 6pm-7pm, followed by pizza and drinks until 7:30pm. Monthly sessions are $60/resident and $69/nonresident; early registration is preferred, but drop-ins are welcome at $20/resident and $22/nonresident. Participants will need to bring with them: Nerf Blaster, Darts and Safety Glasses.
Proof of residency is required to receive resident rates. Registration may be done over the phone, in person or online.
