The Town of Palm Beach seeks to appoint three (3) regular members and one (1) alternate member to the Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC). All terms will expire on September 30, 2026, and two regular members and one alternate member are eligible for reappointment.
The Planning & Zoning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council in all matters relating to municipal planning and development. The Commission is required to follow the concepts and contents of the Town’s comprehensive land use plan in all planning, zoning and development-related deliberations and decisions. The Commission shall also have such powers and duties as may be prescribed by Ordinance. Members of the Commission must be registered voters in the Town of Palm Beach and serve three (3) year terms. Alternate members of the Planning & Zoning Commission may be appointed by the Town Council who serve when called upon by the Chair of the Commission in the absence of any regular member.
All citizens interested in pursuing an appointment to PZC must complete the appropriate application for service by Friday, September 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. The appointments to PZC will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
