Periodical lane closures on South Ocean Boulevard in the area of Ocean View Road will continue into July. One-lane of traffic will be maintained by the use of flaggers during work hours for the construction of a By-Pass Road.
The traffic switch onto the By-Pass Road is scheduled for July 10, 2023, and will be in effect for the construction of the tunnel. Two-Way traffic will be maintained by a 24-Hour Flagging Operation. Tunnel construction and roadway restoration is anticipated to take 45 Days.
Tunnel construction is scheduled to be completed in late-August. Periodical lane closures can be anticipated for the remainder of the construction project. Weather permitting, the project is scheduled to be completed in October 2023.
