The Town of Palm Beach, in partnership with The Garden Club of Palm Beach, the Preservation Foundation, the Palm Beach Civic Association, and the Citizens' Association of Palm Beach invite you to join us Friday, April 22, from 10:00am -2:30pm at the Mandel Recreation Center, 340 Seaview Avenue, Palm Beach, for Restore Our Earth. This Earth Day event features the future of Palm Beach – our very own students from Palm Beach Public and Palm Beach Day Academy – sharing environmental education through art, videos, speeches, projects, or other mediums. The focus of this year’s program is to encourage the community to rethink their dependence on pesticides and chemicals in the environment and focus on the benefits of native plants and other ‘earth friendly’ practices that truly help restore our earth.
In addition to student presentations, from 10:30am-11:30am, in the Smith Family Fieldhouse, event activities will include a student art gallery, a native plant giveaway with educational materials sponsored by the Preservation Foundation, and a native planting ceremony at the flagpole at the Mandel Recreation Center by the students at Palm Beach Public and Palm Beach Day Academy.
Mayor Danielle Moore will provide brief introductory remarks highlighting simple steps residents can take to embrace nature and make Palm Beach more beautiful and environmentally friendly.
Event Sponsors: The Garden Club of Palm Beach, Town of Palm Beach, Palm Beach Civic Association, Preservation Foundation and the Citizens' Association of Palm Beach.
