On Friday, March 26, the Palm Beach Police Department responded to the 2800 block of South Ocean Blvd., on a report of a possible immigrant boat landing. Within minutes of the initial call, Palm Beach Police Officers located and detained 13 subjects. The U.S. Border Patrol Agents assisted the Palm Beach Police Department, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputies, West Palm Beach Police Department, and United States Coast Guard. After an extensive search of the area 25 immigrants (total), including 5 children, were located and detained. All the detainees were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol. The boat was towed from the scene by Sea Tow and is in the custody of the U.S. Border Patrol. At no time during the landing and search was the community at risk.
