[ARCHIVED] Town Council to Appoint Member(s) to the Recreation Advisory Commission

 The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint two (2) regular member to the Recreation Advisory Commission effective January 2021. Currently, one (1) regular member seat is vacant and the second seat will expire on April 1, 2021. Once appointed, both seats will have a term expiration of April 1, 2024. 

The Recreation Advisory Commission acts in an advisory capacity and shall make recommendations to the Town Council on matters relating to Town recreation programs and facilities. Each member of the Recreation Advisory Commission is required to be a registered voter in the Town.  Preference will be given to candidates who are enrolled or have their children enrolled in a recreation department program or are a regular participant or volunteer at a Town recreation department facility.

All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Recreation Advisory Commission must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office in hard copy or via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com  by Friday, April 2, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.   The appointments to the Recreation Advisory Commission will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
