In August of 2020, the Town Council accepted a generous gift from the Preservation Foundation to complete a masterplan for phased improvements at Phipps Ocean Park. The Foundation is underwriting the cost of the project as a gift to the residents of Palm Beach and have committed to fundraising for the park’s improvements. One of the primary goals of the project is to demonstrate how native plants can be used to create beautiful, environmentally sustainable landscapes and restore habitats for wildlife.
The master planning process is underway, and as part of the process the Preservation Foundation is asking residents to participate in a short survey to obtain feedback to help inform the consultant’s work. In January of 2021, two community feedback sessions will also be provided, with the first one planned for January 19, at 2:00pm, via Zoom.
