The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint one regular member to the Code Enforcement Board effective November 2020. Currently, there one (1) regular member vacant position available.
The Code Enforcement Board hears cases involving violations of the Town Code and ordinances, and imposes administrative fines and other noncriminal penalties where a pending or repeated violation exists. Members must be registered voters of the Town and are appointed by Town Council on the basis of experience or interest in the fields of zoning and building control.
All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Code Enforcement Board must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com, Friday, January 1, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. The deadline falls on a Town recognized holiday, therefore pursuant to the Administrative Procedure No. 1-17-6, hard copy applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2020. The appointments to the Code Enforcement Board will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
