[ARCHIVED] Reminder to Landscaping Companies and Homeowners Regarding Spraying of Chemicals

Logo of the Town of Palm Beach-Homepage

One of the primary purposes of Section 66-212 of the Town Code of Ordinances is “to promote health and safety through greater use of cultural and biological controls and reduced use of chemical pesticides for the management of pests, such as whitefly.”  The Town understands that some limited use of pesticides is necessary to maintain lush and healthy hedges but would like to remind landscaping companies and homeowners to use due care in the application of chemicals.

Please ensure spraying is not done on windy days to minimize over spraying and please utilize signage to warn pedestrians that spraying may be in progress.  In order to ensure pedestrians are not affected by over spraying, the Town is requesting extra precaution to be used when spraying hedges along the Lake Trail and public sidewalks.

If you have any questions, please call the Town Manager’s Office at 561-838-5410.
