[ARCHIVED] In Partnership with PB Fire Rescue, the Mandel Rec Center Introduces Balance & Stability Classes

The Palm Beach Recreation Department is proud to announce a new class, Balance and Stability, inspired by Palm Beach Fire Rescue. Unfortunately, one of the leading response calls for Palm Beach Fire Rescue is to aid those that have fallen in their home. The Balance and Stability class is aimed at increasing strength and improving balance. Movement is focused on specific exercises to improve posture and reaction time, as well as stability, strength, and power around the ankle, knee, and hip joints. If you or someone you know is at risk of falling, this class is an ideal way to help decrease the fear of falling and potentially increase activity level.

Balance & Stability classes, designed for nearly all fitness levels, will be held Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the Mandel Recreation Center, 340 Seaview Avenue, Palm Beach.

Drop-in Class: Residents $18, Nonresidents $23

5 Class Pass: Residents $80, Nonresidents $100

10 Class Pass: Residents $140, Nonresidents $175
