The Town of Palm Beach announces two openings on the Investment Advisory Committee effective May 18, 2020.
The Investment Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity and shall make recommendations to the Town Council on matters relating to the Town’s investment policy and the investment of the Town’s surplus funds. The Investment Advisory Committee also oversees the investment of the Health Insurance Trust funds. All recommendations must be made within the constraints of Florida Statute 218.415.
The Town is seeking two applicants that have investment experience and will be available for meetings that are to be held at a minimum of four (4) times per year. Members of the Committee serve for terms of two (2) years. Applicants must also be a resident of the Town of Palm Beach.
All citizens interested in pursuing this important civic service must complete an application and submit it to the Town Clerk by Friday, July 3, at 5:00 p.m. Due to July 3, 2020 being observed as a Town holiday, please note that pursuant to Town Administrative Procedure No. 1-17-6, the deadline will remain the same for electronic submissions and hard copies will need to be submitted the last day Town Hall is open before the holiday. The appointment will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
