[ARCHIVED] Town Council to Appoint a Member to the Retirement Board of Trustees

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint three (3) members to the Retirement Board of Trustees effective February 2020. Currently, there are two (2) trustees and one (1) employee representative whose terms will expire on April 1, 2020 and none are eligible to apply for additional terms.

The Retirement Board of Trustees acts in a fiduciary capacity for the Town’s retirement funds and in an advisory capacity to the Town Council on matters relating to the administration of the Town’s various retirement plans. The Retirement Board of Trustees will meet at least quarterly, with more frequent meetings anticipated during the initial transitional phase of this board.

All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Retirement Board of Trustees must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office in hard copy or via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com  by Monday, April 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.  The appointments to the Retirement Board of Trustees will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

The board/commission applications can be downloaded from the Town’s website (www.townofpalmbeach.com).  Please note that the Town’s website reflects specific applications for each board or commission.  Applications may also be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at (561) 838-5416.
