[ARCHIVED] Town Council to Appoint Members to the Landmarks Preservation Commission

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint four (4) members to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) effective January 2020. Currently, there are three (3) regular members and one (1) alternate member whose terms will expire on March 1, 2020 and three (3) are eligible to apply for one more term.

This commission reviews and approves structural and landscape modifications to designated structures and properties. Members must be registered voters of the Town and are appointed by Town Council based on having, to the highest extent practicable, a special knowledge of and a known interest in landmarks preservation.

All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Landmarks Preservation Commission must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office in hard copy or via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com by Friday, February 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.  The appointments to the Landmarks Preservation Commission will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

The board/commission applications can be downloaded from the Town’s website (www.townofpalmbeach.com).  Please note that the Town’s website reflects specific applications for each board or commission.  Applications may also be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at (561) 838-5416.
