The Town continues to monitor and respond to the changes with the COVID-19 situation.

As of this update there have been 27 confirmed cases in Florida residents with 2 deaths. There are currently no confirmed positive test cases in Palm Beach County and our Fire Rescue Department has not run on any suspected cases as of yet.

Town staff has been in contact with the State Department of Health, State Fire Marshal, and State Department of Emergency Management to ensure they have the latest information and guidance.

The Florida Department of Health is advising all individuals who have traveled internationally to follow the new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, summarized below:

• For people returning from China, Iran, Italy, or South Korea, the CDC recommends 14-day self-isolation and social distancing upon return to the United States. Social distancing includes avoiding going out in public and close personal interactions. If you become symptomatic, immediately self-isolate and contact your County Health Department (CHD) or health care provider.

• All other International Travel and Cruise Travelers should monitor their health and limit interactions with others for 14 days after returning to the United States. If you become symptomatic, immediately self-isolate and contact your CHD or health care provider.
