The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides flood insurance rate maps. Flood maps are intended to incorporate the latest and most accurate information into the maps so that they better reflect the risk that communities face. Flood maps show the extent to which areas are at risk for flooding, and are used to help determine flood insurance and building requirements.
