In 1894 Henry Morrison Flagler organized the Flagler Alerts, a group of volunteer firefighters, housed in West Palm Beach to protect his properties and interests.
Today the Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department is a career department with 66 State-certified firefighters with EMT or Paramedic certification. While times and technology have changed, the men and women of the Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department remain dedicated to providing excellent service to the residents and visitors of Palm Beach.
